From snail mucin, bee venom to bird’s saliva, Korean skincare has made its mark well known worldwide. It is no surprise why K-beauty skincare enthusiasts are growing day by day. While K-beauty has been taking over the skincare community, their latest innovation – Human Stem Cell, has been making headlines in the skincare fraternity. I have heard of Stem Cells and their uses in the medical field, but skincare is a first for me. Allow me to share with you my reviews on the wonderful Human AdiposeDerived Stem Cell Culture Fluid products of Xoul Cosmetics.

Human Stem Cells in Skincare -XOUL COSMETICS
What are Adipose Tissue-Derived Stem Cell Culture Fluids? How do they benefit the skin?

Stem Cell in skincare is fast gaining popularity in the skincare world mainly because of their efficient benefits of skin renewal and regeneration.

Human stem cells are divided into three primary categories:

  • Embryonic – the initial stem cells that are available on the umbilical cord after birth.
  • Adult Mesenchymal Stem Cells – which exist in our bodies and are responsible for the repair and renewal of tissues.
  • Tissue-Specific Stem Cells – which target and repair specific tissues like the skin.

‘Adipose tissue-derived stem cell conditioned media’ is largely used in skincare products.

Adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ADSCs) are mesenchymal cells that have the capacity for self-renewal (ability to develop new cells) and play a key role in the renewal and regeneration of tissue. Not only this but they are also rich in amino acids and antioxidants which is why Stem Cell Skincare is fast becoming a revolutionary invention. The fact that stem cells can heal compromised skin makes it a highly coveted invention for wrinkle care, acne, troubled skin, etc as when applied topically, ADSCs assist in healing these skin worries.

XOUL PURE CELL CLEANSING GEL

Xoul Pure Cell Cleansing Gel is a gentle gel-cleanser containing the key ingredient – Human Stem Cell Conditioned Media. It cleanses the skin deeply without drying out the skin.

Other key ingredients:

  • Vitamin Tree Fruit Extract (rejuvenates the skin)
  • Centella Asiatica Extract (soothes and strengthens the skin)
Highlights
  • Texture: Gel-like
  • Type: Gentle & moisturizing cleanser
  • Scent: Subtle mint scent
  • Viscosity: Runny
  • Size: 130ml

My Thoughts:

For me, foam cleansers are my all-time favorite. While I have tried many gel-type cleansers, none have been able to replace my admiration for foam cleansers. But Xoul’s Pure Cell Cleansing Gel has become my most favorite gel cleanser of all time.

The very first thought that comes to mind when using this cleanser is how silky the minimal foam feels. It lathers well into silky, sticky foams that leave my skin feeling plump, moisturized, and refreshed. Unlike other gel-cleansers, this washes off easily. The minty scent is very subtle and was not bothersome.

One can tell for sure that this is a gentle cleanser as it is non-stripping and does not sting the eyes. By far, this is THE BEST gel-cleanser that I have ever tried.

My Thoughts

Toners are very essential to me. I prefer watery textured toners and this Xoul Calming Cell Toner is perfect for my taste. It has a cloudy, milky texture that is very runny and water-like.

This toner has moisturizing properties and I felt it gave just the right amount of moisturization. Not too heavy, not too light. Just a perfect amount of moisturization for a first-step skincare routine. It absorbs instantly and allows the subsequent products to layer well. Skin feels and looks plump and healthy.

XOUL LAYERED CREAM

Xoul Layered Cream is formulated with:

  • ‘Human Stem Cell Culture Fluid’ (20,000 ppm, anti-aging)
  • 17 different kinds of Amino Acids (help maintain moisture in the outermost stratum of the skin)
  • 7 different kinds of Hyaluronic Acid -HA (provides balanced nutrition to the skin from the innermost layer to the outermost layer)
  • Skin-like ingredients – Lecithin, Ceramide NP, and Glycine.
My Thoughts

While I do enjoy creams that come in a glass jar, having to dip my fingers into the cream to take out the product can get quite cumbersome at times. Xoul’s Layered Cream comes in a pretty rose-gold, an airless container with a push button. This allows an appropriate amount of the product to expel out and blocks the air thus preventing microbial reproduction.

I had been seeking a non-touch technique cream and this cream has fulfilled that dream. The pinkish cream glides effortlessly into the skin and is deeply nourishing. The skin instantly feels moisturized and supple without any greasiness.

For me, this cream fits perfectly for both a morning as well as a night cream. My skin feels and looks radiant and healthy which is why I appreciate this cream a lot.

One great feature of this cream is that aside from being a good face cream, it can be used as an eye and neck cream. A multi-use cream like this is exactly what we seek in a cream.
