The Klair’s Supple Preparation facial toner has been my favorite for years. Having finished multiple bottles of it (also my HG toner for 2019) when Klair’s released their two new toners – Klair’s Daily Skin Softening water and Klair’s Skin Hydrating water a few months back, I was eagerly waiting to try them. The Klair’s Daily Skin Softening Water comes in a gigantic 500ml size. Read on to find all the tea on this.

From the two new releases Klair’s Daily Skin Softening Water and the Daily Skin Hydrating Water, I decided to try the Daily Skin Softening Water. The first thing that comes to mind is that this toner is HUGE. It comes in a whopping 500ml size green-tinted plastic bottle and one can never have to have the fear of running out from this.

What is in this toner?

The ingredient list for the Klair’s Daily Skin Softening Water is very minimal. Formulated with 45% Cucumber water (Cucumis Sativus Water), this toner hydrates and refreshes the skin while also provides skin calming and anti-bacterial benefits. This toner also contains sugarcane extract, a natural exfoliant, and a small amount of citric acid (0.15%) that causes the lowest irritation among AHAs. Thus this toner gently exfoliates the skin while also hydrating the skin.

How I use it?

The Klair’s Daily Skin Softening Water, unlike their previous Supple Preparation Facial Toner, has no viscosity, is almost water-like, and is quickly absorbed. My skin feels refreshed & soft. I have however been following this up with my routine I’m From Rice toner as since it is still winter, my skin needs extra rich hydration. How I have been using this is soaking up a cotton pad with this toner and gently swiping it across my face, just like a cleansing pad.

Tips on using the Klair’s Daily Skin Softening Water:

  • As a DIY sheet mask: Soaking cotton pads and applying them as a DIY sheet mask. I also feel this will be perfect for the summers, as summers here in Japan can get so humid and hot.
  • As a facial mist: Another great way of using this toner is pouring it in an empty spray bottle and using it as a facial mist.

Conclusion

What more can I say? Klair’s products never disappoint me. I love how multi-functional the Daily Skin Softening toner is. You can use it as a regular toner, gentle cleansing/exfoliating, DIY sheet mask, facial mists, and so on. While this may not be that hydrating and ideal for the harsh winters, this will be a gem during the hot and humid summers when you want a watery yet hydrating toner.
