Could this be my final search for a Vitamin C product?

Why is Vit C good for the skin? What are the benefits of Vit C? What is it about Vit C that attracts us the most? Be it for its brightening effects or its anti-oxidant properties, Vit C clearly is a favorite in the skincare game.

When I heard about all the brightening benefits that came with Vit C, I knew I had to try it. If this was going to help bring back the life and radiance to my skin, then yes please, I will buy this with no questions asked. Ever since I have always been searching for a good Vit C serum.

The first Vit C product I ever tried was the Dear Klair’s – Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop and like an excited little puppy, I bought not one, not two but three bottles of this serum all at once. Since everyone was raving about this, it had to be good right? Sadly, it caused me breakouts each time I reached for this. A perfect example to show that what works well on some skin may not work the same for you. This is truly loved by many and many have sworn by the magic of this. Just sorry that this didn’t make it to my little diary of skincare favorites. Luckily, I found my peace with the Japanese brand – RohtoMelano CC Intensive Anti-spot essence and it has been my favorite for more than two years.

Then there was a new buzz that was making headlines in the skincare community. Almost everyone was gushing about this new Vit C serum – Jumiso’s All Day Vitamin Brightening and Balancing Facial Serum, which caught my eye. One can never get enough of the “glow and radiance”, right! I think until my face glows like a 350-watt bulb, I will continue to try Vit C products. Haha!

Jumiso All day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing Facial Serum

The Jumiso’s All Day Vitamin Brightening and Balancing Facial Serum claims to improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation and improve uneven skin tone. Made with 86.14% of Vitamin Tree extract (Seabuckthorn extract), this is a non-water based formula that brightens the skin and minimizes the signs of aging. Besides the brightening ingredients – Ascorbic Acid (also called Vit C, L-ascorbic acid), Niacinamide (Vit B3), and Glycyrrhiza Glabra, it also has another superstar ingredient – Centella Asiatica Extract, which is great in healing acne scars, calming inflammation and accelerating cell turnover. Also, other notable ingredients in this are Sodium Hyaluronate (almost similar to Hyaluronic Acid) and Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (Green Tea). With the best of both the worlds i.e., brightening and soothing, it makes this a power-packed potent vitamin-rich serum.

I am being totally honest when I say that the first thing I noticed when using this was the instant brighten glow this serum gave me. I mean there are some products with which you see results after gradual use or over time. But with this, the bright glow which I saw on my first try, had my mind boggling. So on the very first try itself, this stole my heart.

My thoughts

This is a runny serum, very light-weight at the same time very nourishing, spreads easily and is absorbed quickly without leaving any tacky residue. It comes in a 30ml dropper bottle (I love serums that come in a dropper) and will probably last a little more than a month (if you use it twice daily). I can definitely see my skin getting healthier and brighter. I have been using this in both my AM & PM routine and the bright healthy glow this has brought is a story I want to keep sharing. Oh, and did I mention how affordable this is? You have to keep a lookout for this as it is always sold at a heavily discounted price (during special promotions).

Conclusion

I am almost running out of this serum and have already set an order for repurchase. Besides bringing that bright glow, this kept my skin moisturized and plump. The light-weight absorbing texture of this made it easy for both AM & PM routine. As usual, I always followed this with a sunscreen when using it in my morning routine. This is ideal for those who are searching for alternatives to bring back radiance and glow to dull skin.

Having said this, I am by no means a skin expert and I do not know all the jazz about all the skincare ingredients. I am but only merely sharing my honest experience with these skincare products. They may be great/not great for your skin, what worked for me may not work for you as all skin types are different.
